The upcoming Lewis Wilson Institute for Pentecostal Studies seminar on Friday, April 12, 2013 will be starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Heath Lecture Hall, Room 109. Our speaker will be Dr. Greg Austring, Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies, Religion and Ethics here at Vanguard University. He will be speaking on the topic “Early Assemblies of God Missionary Preparation: The Influence of Harold Needham and the Newly Established Southern California Bible School (Vanguard University).” His presentation is part of his research from his recently completed Ph.D. dissertation.
Dr. Austring teaches courses in Intercultural Studies and Religion in the traditional undergraduate program and courses on Diversity, Ethics and Philosophy to Business and Nursing students in the School for Professional Studies. He is also the Chair of the General Education program for that School. He was the recipient of the 2010-2011 Faculty of the Year Award from the undergraduate student here at Vanguard University.
